Bradford Greenhouses Easter Egg Hunt
- Children under eight years of age were welcomed at the Bradford Greenhouses to join in the annual Easter Egg Hunt! Gathering bags were provided but many children brought their own fun and colourful egg baskets. The Easter Bunny hopped around taking pictures with the eager little bunnies as they searched for shiny foil chocolate eggs under the blooms and displays of plants and home-wares. Generous contributions for the Barrie Food Bank filled the racks at the entrance of the Greenhouses making this a fun event that made a difference!

1st Annual Spring Home and Garden Show
- Bradford Greenhouses Garden Gallery was the perfect venue for the 1st Annual Spring Home and Garden Show. Admissions was free for the two day event featuring great exhibitors showcasing their products and offering helpful tips on home renovation, design & decor and delicious food products such as the Traeger Grillzone. The weekend also included great live seminars such CityTV’s Garden expert Frankie Flowers and the bbq lessons from Diva Q, as seen on CTVʼs Canada AM. There was tons of prizes and giveaways and the first 250 people each day received a gift bag compliments of Bradford Greenhouses while a silent auction was up for bids with all proceeds benefiting Gilda’s Club Barrie.

40th Annual Barrie Train Show
- Bradford Greenhouses Garden Gallery was a buzz for the Barrie-Allandale Railway Modellers 40th Annual Train Show. The greenhouse was filled with generations of families watching the trains go by with approximately 80 vendor tables exhibiting model train sets in every shape, size and colour! There were many sights and sounds to enjoy plus a snack bar to tickle your taste buds. The Barrie-Allandale Railroad members formed its non-profit association in 1963 and new members are always welcome.

Barrie Women’s Show
- Bradford Greenhouses Garden Gallery was buzzing with all things ‘Woman’ at the first annual Barrie Women’s Show! Admission was free, with many wonderful prizes and giveaways. Exhibitors were on hand showcasing their products and services; including health and wellness, beauty, business, fashion and more! In addition, guests were invited to a multitude of seminars, demonstrations, fashion shows and presentations held hourly, such as; CIBC Women’s Financial Forum, a talk by Barrie’s own Dr. Kenneth Dickie, or a Jean Fitting Seminar with Local stylist and Owner of Swoon, Patricia Reid. Lastly, in line with Barrie’s endless giving spirit, a silent auction table with proceeds to breast cancer was held, while CIBC was happy to co-sponsor the event and donate $15,000 to Gilda’s Club.

Santa Claus at Bradford Greenhouses
- Once again, the beautifully decorated Bradford Greenhouses Garden Gallery invited Santa and his reindeer to visit their Barrie location just before Christmas. All were invited to pet the reindeer, “Kootenay & Ivy” and to have a photo taken with Santa. The line ups moved quickly as many Barrie and area residents came out to this terrific annual event! While at the Gallery, many took advantage of the great holiday deals and were carried into the spirit of Christmas by the decorative holiday displays with fresh Christmas trees, poinsettias, wreaths and a vast collection of tree ornaments.

Christmas Open House
- Valued customers were pleasantly transported into a Winter Wonderland last month as they visited the Bradford Greenhouses Garden Gallery for their Annual Christmas Open House. Two very special evenings included an assortment of beverages, cheese, appetizers and musical entertainment featuring Jazz-mandhu and the Simcoe County Band. There were live demos throughout the store showing patrons how to make their own Christmas Urns, centre pieces and helpful hints on decorating the tree. Donations of a non perishable food items were greatly appreciated to help the Barrie Food Bank while attendees were also encouraged to sign up for the new “Grow for the Green Points Reward Program” which will reward customers for every dollar spent at the store.

Frankie Flowers and The Simcoe County Band
- The Simcoe County Band was recently SNAP’d in Barrie at the Bradford Greenhouses Garden Gallery as they presented an impressive afternoon performance. The day also included a guest speaker, Frankie Flowers of City TV’s Breakfast Television and City Line. Frankie was on hand to host a 60-min seminar on Container Gardening and Battling Bugs for a large crowd of enthusiastic gardeners. It was an informative seminar as Frankie provided numerous gardening tips and answered many questions.
